Pastor: DR. DAVID RICE

Dr. Rice is originally from West Virginia. He attended the University of Texas at San Antonio and Southwest Theological Seminary in Fort Worth, Texas. He also served in the United States Army. He has been married to his wife, Dottie Tehar Rice, since 1976. They have one son, Nathan. Dr. Rice was ordained in 1980, and has been in full-time ministry since 1984, serving churches in Florida, Michigan, and Tennessee. He was an Oxford Roundtable participant at the University of Oxford, England, and was selected to Who's Who in America in 2000. Dr. Rice is currently working with the India Gospel League.

Minister of Youth and Young Family Outreach: Andrew McLean

Andrew grew up in Mobile, Alabama, and attended the University of Mobile. After receiving his BA in Religion, he attended Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary in Wake Forest, NC where he received his MDiv and Th.M. degrees. He served two years as a college minister, and three years with InQuest Ministries in both camp ministry and curriculum developer for youth. Andrew and his wife, Sarah, have been married three years. Their son, Isaac, was born in July 2011.

Church Administor: TOM PARRISH

Tom recently joined the staff of Ancient City Baptist Church in the newly created position of Church Administrator. He brings a background of many years in business both in the States and overseas, most of which were managing various operations. He was raised in the Church from childhood and was baptized and became a member at the tender age of 9 years old. After high school, Tom left for College, the military, and a business career, returning home and to the Church in 1990. He has been married to his wife Linda since 1971. As Church Administrator, Tom manages the day-to-day functions of the Church and is the point person for all non-financial issues. The primary task of his position is to be a resource to the Board of Directors, Church Staff, Committee Chairs, and members of the congregation.

Traditional Worship Leader: CURTIS POWELL

Curtis joined the Ancient City Baptist Church staff in 2006. ACBC holds a special place in his heart because it is where he grew up, accepted Christ, played his first hymns, did his first accompanying work, and served as church pianist. Curtis has performed solo and ensemble works throughout the area and is widely recognized as one of the area's leading accomanists and music directors. He has performed the entire spectrum of instrumental and vocal music genres; to include musical theater, opera, solo vocal and instrumental, church and choral music. He has served as a church musician, guest accompanist and soloist throughout the east coast with over 50 musical theater productions and 100-plus sacred cantata and operatic programs to his credit.

As the founder of the Summer Musical TheatreCamp for Kids and Teens in St. Augustine, area children have been given music theater experiences through over 40 summer productions. Just completing its sixteenth season, SMTC had approximately 150 kids and teens coming from across the country to participate in this summer educational camp with four productions during the summer of 2010.

Curtis Powell is an honorary member of the Board of Directors of EMMA – The St. Augustine Concert Association and currently produces their Music Masters Lecture Series. He is also a member of Music Teacher's National Association and the American Choral Director's Society and holds degrees in piano performance and choral conducting. >> EMAIL CURTIS <<

Office Manager: DORRI WITHERS

Dorri first joined the staff of ACBC in 2005. She left in late 2007 to pursue other career options, but returned in January 2011. Ms. Withers keeps her thumb on the pulse of the church, including its many members, activities, and financial commitments. As Office Manager she can be seen running a gamut of duties and working with many of the members of the congregation and staff. Dorri is responsible for the daily office operations and maintenance of the church master calendar. She oversees the work of the church office volunteers and is the main source of communication among the membership. She is responsible for virtually every piece of paper handed out during meetings and services. Dorri grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area of California. She lived in Arkansas for six years, where her daughter Jessi was born, before deciding to make North Florida her home. She moved to St. Augustine in 1996. In her career of 25+ years, she has spent most of her time in the private sector beginning in the printing industry. She has over ten years of office management experience. She and husband, Doyle, live in St. Augustine Shores where her mother also lives nearby. >> EMAIL OFFICE <<
