Each week we want you to be able to experience relevant teaching of the Bible and genuine, passionate worship. We know that your first time at a church, any church, brings up some questions. Where do I start … what should I wear … what’s available for my kids … what should I expect in church? Here is a quick look at what you can expect each week at ACBC:
Where do I start?
ACBC offers two completely different styles of worship on Sunday mornings. Depending on your tastes, we recommend you start out by attending one of these worship services.
How do I get there and where do I park?
ACBC is located at 27 Sevilla Street in the heart of the St. Augustine historic district. You can park in the paved parking lot across Sevilla street from the church, or in the grass parking lot across Carrerra Street from the church. GET DIRECTIONS
What should I wear?
In the traditional 11am worship service, most men will dress anywhere from business casual to coat & tie and women usually wear dresses or dress pants. In the contemporary IMPRINT 8:45am worship service, people commonly wear jeans and t-shirts.
What's available for my kids?
We have a great children's experience every Sunday: While parents enjoy the IMPRINT worship service at 8:45, their children can attend Children’s Church. At the present time, no children’s church is available during the 11am traditional worship service, however, a nursery is available for both worship services in an area adjoining the fellowship hall. A simple registration process is necessary to ensure your children are safe and well-cared for.
What should I expect in church?
No matter which worship service you decide to attend, you should be greeted by a friendly face as you enter the courtyard.
If you decide to start with the 8:45am worship service, here’s the drill:
1. Register & drop off your babies (infant – 3 years old) in the nursery.
2. Enter the fellowship hall, grab some breakfast and handouts on the table, then find a seat at a round table.
3. If you have older kids (4 years old to 3rd grade) they can go to Children’s Church after the singing and before Pastor David preaches.
4. After the service, you can collect your children or stay to attend a SMALL BIBLE FELLOWSHIP GROUP. If you decide to stay, your children will be well taken care of in their own classes.
If you decide to start with the 11am worship service, here’s what you’ll do:
1. Register & drop off your babies (infant – 3 years old) in the nursery.
2. Enter the sanctuary and find a seat.
3. After the service, you can collect your children.
4. Take your family to the fellowship hall to enjoy some refreshments and meet the Senior Pastor and other church members.
Don’t forget to complete a guest card.
Please let us know of your visit and what information you would like to have by completing a guest card and placing in the offering basket (8:45am) or plate (11am).
Simply enjoy the ACBC Experience.
We hope it will become the best day of your week. You will meet some incredible people, enjoy quality worship and also, our Senior Pastor, Dr. David Wheat, will lead you through practical, timeless truths that can change your life!
